1- President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Turkey, where they discussed strengthening security cooperation and the military operations aimed at eradicating the Kharijites Al Shabab.

 

2- President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed his condolences for the passing of former Nigerian President Major General Muhammadu Buhari, who died in London.

 

3- Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre stated that the Somali government is actively working on exploring the country’s rich offshore and onshore resources.

 

4- Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met with Swiss Ambassador to Somalia Mr. Mirko Giulietti, where they discussed enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

 

5- Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met with UAE Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Ahmed Juma Al Rumaithi, to strengthen the ties and cooperation between the two nations.

 

6- The Cabinet of the Federal Government of Somalia held its weekly meeting, discussing aid efforts for the drought-affected populations in the Awdal region, especially in Saylac, Lughaya, and surrounding villages.

 

7- The Cabinet of the Federal Government of Somalia has praised the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism for successfully establishing a Modern Satellite Media Teleport, enabling national media to improve its broadcasting services.

 

8- The Second Deputy Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament and some government ministers participated in the opening of the SSC-Khaatumo completion conference in Laas Caanood, Sool region.

 

9- Minister of Defense Ahmed Moallim Fiqi met with UK Ambassador to Somalia, His Excellency Charles Nicholas King, to discuss security cooperation, training, and counter-terrorism efforts.

 

10- Minister of Interior, Federalism, and Reconciliation Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh held a meeting with a Somali clan elders involved in SSC, where discussions focused on completing the administration of the SSC-Khaatumo region.

 

11- Minister of Communications and Technology Mohamed Aden Malim signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to promote digital transformation in Somalia.

 

12- The Ministry of Interior issued a press statement expressing the government’s disapproval of an incident that occurred in Dhahar District, Sanaag region.

 

13- Minister of Security Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail, Minister of Defense Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, and Somali Police Commander Brig. General Asad Osman Abdullahi participated in an event commemorating the 9th anniversary of the failed coup attempt in Turkey.

 

14- Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Hassan Moalim Mohamud participated in the launch of a project aimed at developing the skills of government workers in justice and public services, implemented by the University of Palermo, Italy, and the Somali National University.

 

15- Deputy Minister of Public Works and Housing Said Mohamud Hayd attended the 44th Annual Housing Conference in Africa held in Algiers, Algeria.

 

16- The Federal Government of Somalia and the United Nations held their annual meeting of the High-Level Joint Steering Committee (JSC) in Mogadishu to review the implementation of the United Nations Partnership Framework (2021–2025).

 

17- Mogadishu Mayor and Governor of Banadir Region, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), met with UK Ambassador to Somalia, His Excellency Charles King.

 

18- Somali Ambassador to Algeria, Amb. Yusuf Ahmed Hassan, met with Algerian Minister of Higher Education Prof. Kamel Badaari.

 

19- First Lady Sahro Omar Hassan registered in Dharkeynley District, Banadir region, to obtain her voter card for the upcoming national elections.

 

20- State Minister of Defense Omar Ali Abdi has officially inaugurated the 34th session of the East Africa Standby Force (EASF) which was held for the first time in Mogadishu.
