Federal Government of Somalia’s Weekly Briefing Mogadishu, Saturday, 7th February, 2026

1- President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud undertook a working visit to Doha, the capital of Qatar.

2- President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a meeting in Doha with Qatari government officials.

3- President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud delivered a speech at the Al Jazeera Forum, focusing this year on the situation in Gaza and the dynamics of the global security and stability system.

4- President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud urged all government agencies and the people to work together, with top priority given to urgent humanitarian drought relief efforts.

5- President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud participated in the inauguration of development projects implemented in the Federal State of Somali Region in Ethiopia, praising progress, peace, and changes in the area.

32- The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), through a well-coordinated security operation in the Maxaa Saciid area of the Middle Shabelle region, killed 13 Kharijites members.
