Mogadishu, 24 September 2025 — The Federal Government of Somalia strongly condemns attempts by a faction within a political group to undermine security in the capital, including their bid to seize control of the Warta Nabadda Police Station in Mogadishu.
The government notes with disappointment that individuals seeking national leadership are willing to shed the blood of citizens and armed forces who are safeguarding the nation and fighting terrorism.
The government asserts that the incidents at the Warta Nabadda Police Station are the direct responsibility of those who violated statehood, security, public order, and the country’s laws.
The government urges all politicians and others who threaten security to desist from such actions and to adhere to the nation’s laws and constitution.
Finally, the Federal Government reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the rule of law, protecting the people and their property, and ensuring accountability for anyone who undermines national security.
