H.E. Hon. Abdulfatah Kasim Mohamud is a distinguished Somali politician, senior civil servant, and Member of the Federal Parliament of Somalia. He currently serves as the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, following his appointment by the Prime Minister of Somalia H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre. of Information, Culture & Tourism by the Federal Government of Somalia. The Minister brings extensive experience in public policy, communications, and cultural development to the role.

Under their leadership, the Ministry has launched the National Digital Transformation Strategy 2026–2030, championed press freedom reforms including the Access to Information Act, and initiated the e-Visa programme to boost tourism arrivals.

The Minister is a vocal advocate for Somalia's cultural heritage preservation, and has been instrumental in nominating Somalia's first sites to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
