Nairobi, Kenya – 6 October 2026: The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdulfatah Qasim Mohamud, held a meeting in Nairobi with H.E. Adarsh Swaika, High Commissioner of India to Kenya and Ambassador of India to Somalia.
The meeting focused on strengthening Somalia–India cooperation in the fields of information and culture, particularly in developing and enhancing the skills of media personnel, transitioning to digital systems, and strengthening collaboration between the two countries’ arts and cultural groups.
Minister Abdulfatah Qasim expressed his appreciation to the Government of India for its continued support and cooperation with Somalia, particularly its efforts to support the development of national media, cultural groups, and capacity-building for Somali personnel.
