Ministry of Information Launches Training Program to Combat Extremist Ideologies

The Ministry of Information has launched a five-day training program for 50 members of the Federal Government, regional governments, and the Banadir region. The training aims to coordinate media relations and combat extremist ideologies.

The program is focused on connecting and unifying the media systems of the Federal Government, regional governments, and the Banadir region. It also aims to strengthen the fight against extremist groups. The 50 members represent various government agencies.

Abdullahi Hayir Duale, Director General of the Ministry of Information, opened the training. He stated that the goal is to strengthen cooperation between government agencies in terms of media and community relations. This will promote the unification of government messages towards the elimination of extremist groups.

Director Hayir emphasized that this training is different from regular training. The extra time it lasts is important for utilizing the teachers’ lessons and sharing discussions. It will also help in understanding the challenges faced by different government agencies.

This initiative by the Ministry of Information is a step towards promoting peace and stability in the region.
